Travelling to Dorchester with fourteen players, hoping that Frome Valley would make up the numbers, a mixture of young and old played a good, open game. It featured a combination of proficient forward work and quick hands from the backs. Most of the latter played out of position, including Ben Snook from inside-centre to scrum-half and Gaz Reynolds from the replacements' bench to fly-half. Good ball from the forwards, including Nev Brook (playing his twenty-fifth season for Cary) in the front row, proved too much for Frome Valley as they were forced to go uncontested in the scrums. Another notable performance was from Ed Culpin, playing on the flank for the first time and also jumping the lineout. Man of the Match went to Devon Waine, celebrating his birthday. Cary seconds' next match is at home to Martock seconds on 22nd December. by Rosie Meek
