It was a numbers thing again for Cary but to their advantage this time, with the Taunton outfit travelling to Castle Cary with only 14 men. From the kick-off, Cary applied pressure in every aspect of the game, securing the ball well to supply the their backs quickly. However, the first try came from a 5-metre lineout with the Cary skipper, James Atkins, redeeming himself after being sinbinned last week to score in the corner. With points on the board, Cary started to turn the screw, with Freddie Loxton scoring next. However, Wiveliscombe didn't let it get to them as they brought the game to Cary, securing good balls and slowing those of the home side. Cary went on to be the eventual winners, with two further tries each from Gareth Watts and Gary Reynolds, three conversions from Ben Snook and a try and conversion from Matthew Tom. As Wiveliscombe lost further players to injury, the final ten minutes saw the hosts lending three men, with no change in the score at the final whistle. Cary travel to Crewkerne for another League game next week. by Rosie Meek
