Sitting comfortably in the middle of the League table, and travelling away with a strong team, Cary were looking forward to their meeting with the Minehead Barbarians but were disappointed with the final result.

Securing just one unconverted try apiece from Rick Gates and Ben Snook, the game was also marred by injury, with Jon Belcher suffering a broken collar bone.
