During the first 40 minutes, Cary applied the pressure to the Morganians' forwards. Much to Cary's suprise, the opposition pack was a much weaker outfit than expected, which lifted the Cary players in every aspect of the game. This proved beneficial for the backs, as the team could offer them quick, clean balls, which the three-qarters exploited to full effect. Cary's Jay Berry used every trick in the book to leave Morganians' opposite numbers standing. Good finishing from Cary secured the game. The only chink in their armour was a driving maul from a line-out, five yards out, which put the visitors on the scoreboard. In the second half, Morganians tired easily, enabling Cary to dominate. After 15 minutes of play, the referee called a halt to the match. All credit to Morganians, who battled to the last. This result will boost Cary's prospects for the rest of the season. |
