CCRFC Ladies v Trowbridge Ladies

What was originally due to be an away fixture became a home fixture because of the flooding of Trowbridge's pitch.

Thanks to assistance from players from Midsomer Norton and Ivel Barbarians, Cary were delighted to be fielding a full side. However, the visitors were not so fortunate so numbers had to balanced with three Cary players lent to Trowbridge.

Although Trowbridge were first to put points on the board, Cary soon responded with a try from Emily Board, with an evenly matched game leaving the half-time scores equal at 5–5.

The visitors secured their second try soon into the second half and despite spending a considerable length of time near to their try line, the final whistle prevented Cary from securing further points. This was despite some strong play, powerful tackles and excellent off-loads.
