UNDER 7s
A game played in very muddy conditions. Defensive lines were spot on. Both sides played well considering the state of the pitch. Tries came from India Gill, Kieran McCaul, Chris Dowding and two from Alfie Jones. The latter was Man of the Match, although they all played really well.
UNDER 8s
Cary as the home team defended fantastically well in the first half and took full advantage of their own ball to score four unanswered tries. The second half saw the visitors respond very well with the scores being matched alternately until the final whistle. Man of the Match: Matthew Suri.
UNDER 9s
A big improvement on the last game: they all pulled together and played as a team. The conditions were very muddy, which meant the ball was slippery. Good performances by all. Man of the Match: Angus Davis.
UNDER 10s
With the four new signings making their debut, it was going to be a hard fought game. Bridport took the play to Cary using their bigger pack to good effect, driving Cary off the ball in rucks, mauls and scrums. This put a lot of pressure in the new lads, who stood tall to prove themselves in a tough encounter, with good running from Jack Clothier and Tom Wilkinson, who spoke to and encouraged the new lads throughout the game. Jordan was Man of the Match, playing in the centre and putting himself around the park, supporting the runners and making important tackles. Other mentions go to Josh Reynolds, Josh Coombes and Charles Proud.
UNDER 12s
Cary came out very strong, dominating in all departments during the first half, going in at the interval 26–0. The Cary pack in the second half came out thinking the game was already won and had a very rude awakening when the Bridport side came at them and scored two quick tries, both converted, making the score 26–14. Cary had to dig deep to stop further points being conceded. Jack Chandler had his first game as scrum-half and was named Man of the Match.
