Match report:
CCRFC 2nd v Ivel Barbarians 3rd

Team captain, Jon Belcher, was pleased with an excellent performance from the Cary side, only the fourth game played for many of its members.

A lack of players saw both sides fielding ten men. With a scratch side, Cary were put under heavy pressure in the first half and conceded all 25 of Ivel's points in quick succession.

The half-time talk from injured captain, Jon Belcher, seemed to do the trick and his stand-in, Andy Palmer, kept the side's heads up and everything started to fall into place.

Some excellent straight running saw Cary players intercepting Ivel to score three tries within ten minutes, with Andy Palmer adding one conversion to what was to be the final score of the second half.

Andy Palmer thanked all those who turned out on the day for their immense efforts. Man of the Match was awarded to Nick Halls.
